I am all for fun and quarky art. Art is the perfect design element to let your personality come out and be seen in your home. While looking for some fun and funky art for a client's home office, I was intrigued by these neon light up wall signs. My first thoughts: this sign would look amazing on a textured brick wall! These signs would look amazing alone over a desk, or can complete your gallery wall.

Hexagons have been making a comeback and are here to stay. They are a staple geometric pattern that can work well in almost any scale. My personal favorite are in a small scale in a small room such as a powder room or as a transition from tile to wood in a boutique restaurant such as this photo. The trick to making these two flooring materials work well is to make sure they both have the same cool tones.
This shape works perfectly in any modern space. This geometric side table can compliment any simple clean lined chair and give it an edge. I am also really into the geometric hardware to give your cabinetry an updated modern vibe.
The amazing property about this shape is that they can be laid out in unique ways that give them each a look of their own. Randomly placed staggered mirrors like the ones shown above add playfulness to this entry way. A cluster of random sizes in a light tone wood make this mirror a focal piece. Recessed hexagon ceiling panels make this corporate office this much more the reason to some to work.
All of us Queen Bees will appreciate these funky geometric inspired accent chairs. Especially in this traditional environment, these chairs give the perfect juxtaposition along with the gold plated cocktail table.
The hexagon craze doesn't stop there. A side table such as this one can nestle up into any seating grouping and work perfectly as a plant stand or even carry a pretty acrylic lamp in between two side chairs. Small details such as this gold towel holder can give a simple umph your bathroom needs. I am obsessed with gold hardware, and this little guy may make it into my powder room.
What do you think about this hexagon trend? Here to stay?
Don't get me wrong, I love color and especially fun unexpected color combos... but sometimes I just want to swoon and lust over clean, untouched, crisp white. The bright airy feeling of white on white is so calming, a nice break from this crazy month (yes I know it's only April 7th). So when one of my girlfriends asked for an updated look for her new studio, my first thought: All White Everythang!
White on white doesn't have to be literal. The metal accents in this gorgeous living room give it a polished, sophisticated elegance.
Details shine through on this focal fireplace wall. The mantel and wall paneling is so ornate, but easy to appreciate (and accessorize!)
White bathrooms are my jam. The most beautiful slabs come in the most incredible warm whites. All you need is a designer faucet, coordinating wall sconces, and a simple framed mirror to compliment this surface.
Not everyone is into traditional opulence in their home. However, because the trim, wall, and ceiling paint is all the same shade of white, you can bring almost any kind of design style into these beautiful bones and never want to leave your boutique styled suite.
These floor to ceiling window treatments slightly contrast off of the light grey walls, not at all over bearing.
White leaves no room for error, and if used correctly, is not to be feared.
Hope you enjoyed lovelies. Xo.
Pastels have been proven to be fun and modern, and with Easter company rolling around, here are some fun ways to incorporate a bit of Spring in to your home. Hosting a Sunday Brunch? How adorable is this table setting from World Market, it is completely DIY, and you can find all the accessories you need here.
Adding a comfy blush chair with a fun colorful pillow like these from West Elm, will add some fun Spring pastel to your home and can stay long after by pairing it with a fun white textured throw. These metallic terrariums can not only serve as your fun centerpieces for Sunday Brunch, but then can be placed empty in a cluster of three on your coffee table well into summer.
I am obsessed with designs that are over exaggerated, especially for the Holidays. I am swooning over these Puff Dressing Chairs. They would be adorable flanking you fireplace or paired in front of a window. And c'mon, whether you believe in the Easter Bunny or not, I can not wait to add this Gold Hare Lamp to my Spring Decor, it is just too cute.
Nothing to wear? Check out these adorable Spring dresses from Nordstrom Rack (the pink one is my fave) and I am really feeling the block heel right now, and will pair great with a pastel or neutral outfit. I live in nude lipsticks, but l do love the L'Oreal Paris La Vie en Rose Collection. My absolute favorite is Eva's shade, it has the perfect amount of pink for an afternoon look.
Wishing you all an amazing Holiday! xo.
Gold and Silver have been equally popular with the crowds this year. When setting up our Thanksgiving table this year, we just could not decide which would be the winner… maybe you can help us chose.
Gold is obviously an LBV favorite, and in this set up, we used gold mason jars to match our gold chargers. W also brought in the gold with the napkin rings and our old faithful Z Gallerie votives. We tiered our décor on white cake stands to give some height to our table. You like?
For our silver scheme, we could not have done it without adding some glitz and GLAM! W paired the pumpkins with some crystal candelabras and our silver vintage pieces. With the dripping diamonds and silver table cloth, this scheme is hard to beat.
Tough choice, right? Comment below and let us know your fave!
Happy Thanksgiving loves.
Dia De Los Muertos is a lively Mexican holiday honoring those who have passed. Our passed loved ones are celebrated with food, drinks, parties and activities. This weekend, we provided decor for a Dia De Los Muertos event, and let me tell you, it was very exciting to use all these bright colors, and fun patterns.
For the tables, we used a traditional serape as the table runners. We glammed up this Modelo with some gold glitter for the centerpieces and was instantly a hit. Along the ceiling, we hung colorful banderitas, we found in this case, the more the better.
The showstopper were these beautiful oversized paper flowers we designed. We placed the randomly to create a backdrop. This became the perfect photo op for all the guests.
Here's a close up of one of the flowers we created. We used a heavier paper so they kept their shape very nicely, and are durable for multiple use. We used a mix of two sizes, the larger being almost 24", and the smaller being about 18".
Dia De Los Muertos can not be complete without your traditional face paint. We used all Mac Products, mostly eyeshadows and eyeliners. Comment below if you would like to see how we created these looks!
It's not every day you get to walk one of your parents down the aisle. I was fortunate enough to walk my dad down along with my brother on his big day! It was a mix of emotions... mostly excitement and nerves. But most importantly, I felt at peace. I was at peace that my dad has found an amazing woman to spend the rest of his life with, and has someone to share everyday joys with. It's an unforgettable feeling to see and be a part of something so special.
I was given the honor to plan their special day... it's a big deal to plan your dad's wedding, it was like planning mine all over again! I was extremely excited and could not wait to get started.
But first, for those of you who don't know my dad he is an amazing, hardworking individual, who I greatly admire. He is humble, and always has the best intentions in all that he does. He taught me a lot about life at a young age: his work ethic, the importance of family, and of course, how to drive!
When they asked me to help plan the wedding, I immediately started pinning, and gathering ideas. My current color combo obsession at the time was Mint & Coral, so of course, that's what they went with. The venue was at The Seascape Resort in Aptos on the water, so this scheme complimented the entire day beautifully.
This chandelier had to be my favorite part of the ceremony. I purchased this amazing find at an antique shop, and fell in love with it's rustic charm. We placed flowers in place of candles, and along with the beautiful arangment from Eventscapes Inc, this was an amazing arch way to say the I do's under.
Our bridesmaid's dresses were a soft blue with lots of detail that complemented the bride's champagne gown. From my experience, dresses with detail photograph beautifully in the right lighting, and this is a great example. The flower bouquets are a combination of pale pinks and peach, and the bride's got amped up with a few brighter coral flowers.
The reception also took place at Seascape Resort on the second floor, overlooking the ocean during sunset, if you can image, it was breathtaking. The gold chairs we chose are my favorite go to at the moment, they bring elegance and class and really go a long way. The linens are a soft ivory HINT: if your scheme is cool, choose ivory as your main linen, if your scheme is warm, go with a cream.
The Sweatheart table got a little extra love with an embroidered overlay and another beautiful floral arrangement.
Every event needs a Photo Booth. This backdrop was personalizedwith this chic banner where guests were able to have fun and strike a pose. We told guests to use #OrnelasWedding so the couple could enjoy the pictures as well.
Congrats to the happy couple! This day was only the beginning.
While on the hunt for some green decor I stumbled upon this Kelly Gem at Anthropologie. Of all the shades of green, this shade seems to pair easily with linens and golds, which you all know are my favorites. The tufting on this created shadows and highlights which breaks up the boldness of the color. I always keep this in mind when choosing such a bold color like this on a large upholstered piece.
These neutrals coordinate well with the Kelly, and the pillows add chic personality and sparkle.
This cocktail table is versatile and will update the traditional accents in the Kelly Sofa. The glass top allows for your accessories to showcase.
This Chandelier is perfect for this mix, not too traditional to compete with the detailed sofa, but clean and natural to provide glow. These gold accented vases and green ceramic coasters are perfect details to complete this look.
All pieces shown on this post can be found at Anthropologie.
Jennifer Lopez is the ultimate Glam Goddess and her home conveys that in every room. I've always daydreamed of how Jlo's style translates into home decor and it's exactly what I expected. Okay, maybe not EXACTLY what I had hoped for. I envisioned more over the top opulence, luxe furs, and maybe even table lamps covered in rare diamonds. She delivered with a few fur throws but overall I would describe her home as sophisticated glam. Lopez recently listed her Hidden Hills LA mansion for $17million take a look below.
1. Exaggerated drapes are a must for this look. Mount your rod to the ceiling, or in this case, under the next set of windows. Allow a few extra inches for them to gather on the floor, this gives a "grand" look.
Welcome to the good life.
